Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-29
This Privacy Policy explains how ProPaint Construction, LLC ("ProPaint", "we", "us") collects, uses, retains and discloses personal information when you visit propaintconstructionmi.com, contact us, request an estimate, call us, or connect an account you hold on one of the online marketplaces and lead platforms we connect with (for example, Thumbtack) to ProPaint. ProPaint is a commercial painting and construction contractor based in Troy, Michigan.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Estimate and contact requests: your name, email address, phone number, company, the type of service you need, your project scope and location, and any message you send.
- Website chat: the messages you type into the chat assistant on our website and, if you ask to speak with a person, your conversation with our staff.
- Phone calls and voicemail: your phone number and caller ID information, call times and duration, and, when you leave a voicemail, the audio recording and a written transcript of it.
- Email: the content of emails you send us, including attachments such as drawings, specifications or photos.
- Bids and business dealings: contact and company information for owners, general contractors, suppliers and subcontractors we work with.
Information we receive from third parties
- Connected platforms: if you contact ProPaint through an online marketplace or lead platform, or authorize ProPaint to connect to your account there, we receive the data that platform makes available to us, such as your contact details, your project request (the job you described and its location), and the messages exchanged with us about that job. When you authorize a connection, we also receive access tokens that let our systems retrieve and respond to that data.
- Public bid sources: business contact information published in public construction bid notices and plan rooms.
Information collected automatically
- Our web server records technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. When you submit an estimate request, we store your IP address with it to help prevent spam and abuse.
- Cookies and analytics: our public website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics services. Our pages load common files (such as web fonts and style libraries) from outside providers, which receive your IP address as a normal part of delivering those files.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry, prepare estimates and bids, schedule site visits and perform the work you hire us for.
- To communicate with you by phone, text, email or through the platform you contacted us on.
- To notify our staff promptly of new leads, messages and voicemails.
- To transcribe voicemails and to power our website chat assistant so we can answer faster.
- To keep business records, manage our projects, and meet legal, tax, insurance and contractual obligations.
- To protect our website and systems against spam, fraud and misuse.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3. Legal bases and consent
We process personal information because you asked us to (to answer your request or take steps toward a contract), to perform a contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business. Where consent is required, such as when you connect a third-party platform account, we rely on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time as described below.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf, including our web hosting and database provider, our email provider, our telephone and voicemail provider, AI transcription and language-processing providers used for voicemail transcripts and our website chat assistant, and a messaging service we use to send internal notifications to our staff.
- Connected platforms, when we reply to you or update a job through the platform you contacted us on.
- Project partners, such as a general contractor, owner, supplier or subcontractor, when needed to bid on or perform your project.
- Legal and safety, when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others.
- Business transfers, in connection with a merger, sale or reorganization of our business, subject to this Policy.
5. How long we keep information
We keep leads, messages, call records and voicemails for as long as needed to respond to you and manage any resulting project, and after that for as long as reasonably needed for our business records, warranty and legal obligations, and to resolve disputes. Access tokens for connected platforms are stored securely, kept only while the connection is active, and deleted or invalidated when you revoke access or the connection ends. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our website, password-protected administrative systems, restricted staff access, and keeping API credentials and tokens out of our public web pages. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate;
- delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law or for an active project;
- stop contacting you.
To make a request, email sales@propaintconstructionmi.com or call (248) 368-0273. We will verify your request using information we already have and respond within a reasonable time, and within any time required by applicable law. You can revoke ProPaint's access to a connected platform account at any time through that platform or by contacting us.
8. U.S. state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, state laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended) may give you additional rights, including the right to know, access, correct and delete personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of, but you may exercise your other rights using the contact details below. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
9. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other sites
Our website and messages may link to other sites and platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
