The cable plant everything else in the building rides on, and the systems people actually hear: paging, intercom, bells and clocks, nurse call, mass notification, and sound in the gym, the cafeteria and the auditorium. Pathways get coordinated while the ceiling is still open, because that is the only time it is cheap.
Horizontal Category cabling and backbone, telecommunications room build-out, racks and cabinets, patch panels, communications outlet rough-in, terminations, grounding and bonding, labelling to the specified scheme, and certification test results in the closeout.
Classroom and corridor speakers, entry intercom, all-call and zone paging, bell and clock tie-in, and amplifier and head-end location. Written to work with the secure-entry intercom rather than beside it.
Nurse call stations, corridor lights and annunciation in care settings; mass notification and voice-evacuation pathways and notification appliances coordinated with the fire detection and alarm scope.
Gymnasium, cafeteria, auditorium and performing-arts sound and AV. Speaker layout, conduit and box rough-in, floor boxes, rack and control locations, and the pathways an AV integrator needs before the ceiling closes.
Licensing is settled scope by scope before we bid. Where Michigan requires a licensed alarm or electrical contractor for a portion of the work, that portion is carried under the correct licence โ self-performed where ours covers it, or by a licensed partner named in our submission. Ask us on the specific package and you will get a straight answer before bid day, not after.
Outlets, drops and speaker locations counted off the drawings; pathway routes laid out against the structure.
Tray, J-hooks, sleeves, firestopping and back boxes installed while the ceiling is open.
Cable pulled, dressed, terminated at both ends, racks and patch panels built out and labelled.
Certification testing, results package, as-builts, labelling schedule and owner training.
